oops, and must reads
Oct. 20th, 2004 11:14 pmMea Culpa. I was lazy, forgot to preview and so my putting a paren, in lieu of an an angle bracket made for an ugly post, if you read it; and it seemed borked, go back and read my last post.
Orcinus has the next installment (the last one wasn't the last, I misread it) and Finnegan's Wake has a brilliant proof that Michell Malkin has no way to claim she isn't making a moral justification for interning Arabs.
Last, but not least, why is it no one is complaining that Rhys-Davies, and Spears and Simspon are coming out for Bush, but Springsteen and Mortensen are being villified for plumping on Kerry's sid

Aside; isn't Jessica Simpson that genius who called all women who work at Hooters whores because they use sex to sell their product? (Has she seen her own album covers?) I shudder to think of anyone taking political advice from the chicken-in-the-sea girl.

Date: 2004-10-21 05:30 pm (UTC)The media (with which our lives are suffused) are "Liberal" and so the, "conservative" values are being swamped in a sea of decadence and oppressed (little Johnny isn't allowed to read his Bible in school, lesbianism is so rampant (in Oklahoma?) that high school girls aren't allowed to go the toilet alone [I guess it's worse than smoking], the courts are refusing to let people practice their faith, our money is being taken to let welfare cheats drive cadillacs [and for some it is... crop guarantees for corn, where there is no summer rain is fraudulent, but legal], the lists go on).
So, to speak out against the huge "media" is brave, it's seen as speaking truth to power.
I am afraid, deeply afraid, that this election is a tipping point, and the next four years may seal the doom of the republic.
Ben Franklin said we had one, so long as we could keep it, and the struggle may be bitter. For the first time in my life I am afraid we will lose.

Date: 2004-10-22 12:55 am (UTC)Yeah, apparently there was a memo titled "It's Okay if You're a Republican" that we missed. It covers everything.
