de mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est, ergo the rest is an irreverent silence.

Perhaps it's terribly Evil of me, but I'm thinking more in terms of the desert grave-marker with the admonition ending with "....stop, traveler, and piss".

Mind you, Newt Gingrich, R. Cheney, & G.W. Bush are still alive and active, so I'm reserving a few gallons of /b/e/e/r/ water.

It's a poem by, if I recall, Byron:

Posterity will ne'er survey
a nobler grave than this.
Her lie the bones of Castlereagh
Stop, traveller, and piss.

There are number of graves which may have a hard time keeping the grass green.

"Lord Jones Dead"

I'm not sure I have ever heard of this man, actually, though he sounds unpleasant enough.

I think I've been reacting to the various obituaries as though they were declaring Robert Nozick dead, to which my reaction was a hearty "Good riddance" followed by a "Wait didn't that already happen" (A: Yes, in 2002.)

He was a foul piece of work, and liar, a hypocrite, a scoundrel and a lickspittle sycophant.

He did more harm to the interests of the United States, and the world, with his pen than armies have done with their weapons; in no small part because what he wrote convinced people to loose those armies, and then to keep them in the field.

He was the button man for outing Valerie Plame and undoing twenty plus years of network building in monitoring the flow of unranium ore in Africa.

While I feel for his family, it would have been better had he died 20 years ago.

Ahhhh, I recall that event, but not him. Yes, that was repugnant, without a doubt.
