I am wondering something about how Flickr handles, "explore".

Which means I want to conduct an experiment. If you would be so kind as to indulge me by clicking through the photo below, I'd be grateful.

They change their algorithm for Explore all the time, George at Flickr told me. Certainly I'm baffled that one photo makes it to Explore with thirty clicks, five comments and five favorites, and others with 120 clicks, fourteen comments and two favorites don't even hit. I do better if post the image to a lot of Flickr groups than if I get a lot of outside hits, but I'll be interested to see what your experiment yields.

I want to think of a smutty rejoinder but it's far too early and I've just drunk the ultimate in unsmutty drinks (fizzy multivitamins), so no inspiration there.

However I will say I can completely understand the buying of tickets to Pasadena based on that hawt photo, having been myself similarly induced to buy a ticket to Belgium (er...not by the same person, obviously!).

Wheras we have been killing a bottle of Cockburn '03 in my living room, which for some reason causes us to regress uncontrollably to the earlier days of our courtship and communicate largely in flirty/raunchy lj comments. :-)

It was the best 2 days, 23 hours, and 30 minutes of travel I've ever invested in a mad gamble, I tell you what :-)

She rode a bus for 2 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes; then she waited for some chunk of time thinking I had stood her up, while I was wondering where her bus was.

To be less pedantic... we met on Lj, via, more or less, matociquala because I was ranting, against torture, or something.

Which is why I'm in Ottawa, slogging about on foot, in the middle of a bus-strike, being appalled that the Throne Speech is closed to the public, and generally having a grand time.

People keep saying things about the weather, and wondering what I was thinking, but there is no slush, and I don't mind the cold, because I 1: know about layers, and 2: am not unaquainted with it.

I notice he is leaving out the part where thinking he was kind of damn cool based on his charm and ranting turned into serious flirting, not to mention obsessive IMing, spending deranged amounts of time on the phone while he was off at Camp Roberts, and many other details of my complete and rapid transformation from a sensible woman of 38 into a crushed-out starry-eyed teenager within, as I recall, mere weeks...

I think I missed the window for your experiment, but I do love the photo. As commented the first time it showed up, very intimate and lovely.
