Your Score: The Wolf

Here's your results! Your spirit animal has a Nobility ranking of 12 out of 18.

Your spirit animal is the wolf. It is a ferocious companion, and a loyal friend. It is both a respectable and noble creature; to have this spirit animal says good things about you, and that you are starting to figure things out. Wolves are pretty rare spirit animals.

***Wondering how this animal was chosen for you? These questions were carefully thought out to see how important you hold certain virtues such as: humanism, self-knowledge, rationalism, the love of freedom and other somewhat Hellenic ideals. Some of the questions were very subtle. Your score was then matched with an animal of corresponding nobility. However, you shouldn't think this was a right/wrong sort of test, but more of an idealistic values test. It's ok to not hold these values, you'll just get an animal spirit of lower stature if you do!***

I, apparently, scored higher than 99 percent of 40 year old males for nobility... whatever that is.

I wonder how they score it

I got a wolf too, and some frippery that asked for information then told me, 'that email is already registered in okcupd": and wouldn't let me go further.

Hmm. Since my personal totems are herons and hedgehogs, who knows?

Between the Heinlein Centennial, Pati passing and work being craptacular, this was a nice amusement, thanks.

What about the centennial?

My totemic stuff tends to trickstery things. Fox, otter, and the like.

I don't think I've got any sense of a bird.

I don't have your email address and am not willing to speak much about the Centennial in a LJ format (there were good things and bad things and they were all confused together... suffice to say if it had not been for our ground crew in KC, the Centennial 'master staff' (who as far as I can tell had never even been to an ordinary SF convention, much less run one) would have been fscked.

I had a badly interesting experience on a panel, fortunately my partner Margene came with me because she recognized presenter's name (from Worldcon programming) and thought it would be a good idea to be there for me.

Otherwise I was in the dealer/exhbit/art show room the whole time, which was not a bad thing, but there were some 'interesting' occcasions to the whole experience.

Humm... it seems to consider me a Grizzly Bear -- rather high in Nobility ranking, whatever that means -- though I must confess to possibly cheating somewhat on one question. (If I won 10 million dollars (preferably "tax-free") I'd probably either keep one M, or invest it all and donate about 90% of the income to Good Causes.)

At least I was Noble enough not to leave a comment about the (undoubtedly well-intended) portrait of the Indian. There are about six things in it that seem subtly wrong/inauthentic -- mostly involving proportions & placements.

I would wager that this sentence is part of the reason for your score ;-)

Mine spirit animal is a bat. Sort of your middle of the road noble spirit, apparently. I think this is because I said I didn't think honor could be satisfied by a duel.

A bat. I don't think so.

That was a wierd question. It was a conditional, and said (IIRC) never.

Since I have been so offended that I've wanted people to swing at me/draw, I had to say yes.

But the number of questions is really scant, esp. since it seems there are 18 possible outcomes.

Pounds of salt time.

Well, yeah, and also, the choices are often not so mutually exclusive as all that. If I had 10 mil I'd spend some, give some to charity, travel a lot, and invest a large chunk of it.

I answered "not" to that one too, and got The Noble Elk, which works for me because, you know, MOOOSE!!!

(FWIW, my personal totem is the Horus-hawk)

Hey, the first time I did a "reading" with my Animal Medicine cards, given to me by a friend, my two signifier animals were Moose and Squirrel. How I laughed!

Horus-hawk is cool. Scary, but cool.

In Roma Antiqua it meant that you were descended from one or more consuls. Oddly enough being elected consul didn't ennoble a person, but it ennobled his descendents. Of course the meaning has changed greatly over time, though it's still a somewhat vague term as you note.

I got an otter. I also seem to have hit that 99% point, though for 53 year old males in my case.

I got an otter. Wouldn't have thought of it, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Your spirit animal is the deer. They are a respectable and beautiful animal. They are fearful and timid at times and are considered as having only slightly above average nobility and wisdom. The deer is a fairly common guardian, and you can feel proud knowing it will serve you well.

Hee!

I got a cougar. I like cats, so that's ok. I'm feeling turtles right now, slow and steady plodding to one of my large goals.

Your spirit animal is the cougar. It is a stealthy and deadly protector. With a cougar as a spirit animal, you have nothing to fear in this world. Your life is blessed and you are on the right path. You will still have hard times, but you will pull through them, always stronger for your travails. Congratulations, few are fotunate enough to have such a spirit animal!

Here's your results! Your spirit animal has a Nobility ranking of 11 out of 18.

Your spirit animal is the otter. Playful, curious and fun animals, they are truly the start of what can be considered a noble creature. Otters are good at figuring things out, and make great friends. You are lucky to have one as a spirit animal. Otters are fairly rare as spirit animals.
