Jun. 26th, 2007 12:38 pmI can say scam, but sheesh, how the hell do they expect to get people to contribute?
White Orchid
Living Legends is a pyramid, CT being the foundation of all other parts of LL. Individually, each part of LL can affect global change, but together they can create something that will change the foundation stones of our world and build a better one.
We are not concerned with half measures or discussion, we are governed by conscience not convenience and although all this sounds like catchy phrases, we will be judged by our actions.
We do not believe charities, as they are, should exist.
“The road to hell is paved with good intentions’
They go on. This is the second best part.
White Orchid is an Island project for girls rescued from the sex trade, currently concentrating in Asia. Buying Islands, building schools for rehabilitation and education. Each school will be Eco-Friendly and also be used as a reserve, in part for rescued animals. Breeding some, like the Kiwi. Reefs will be cultivated to create more breeding environments for marine life and flora; fauna will be cultivated. Staff will be PHD qualified.
Right. Export Kiwi, and other exotics to some island, and creating some "new" environment for them. What of the local ecology? Or do they plan to terraform some barren patch of coral sand?
It gets better. I like this part best.
Blood Rose is the extraction/rescue team for girls rescued from the sex trade. The Blood Rose team will use ex-military personnel to liaise, observe and rescue young captive girls.
Seems to me the observing ought to come first, then the "liaising," whatever that means. Even if they mean liase; that means they go and talk to this girls, recruit them to be "rescued" to this desert island. When/how will they do this? What if they want out, but don't want to go to this island "camp" to be rehabilitated?
After that the "rescue."
Military, so they plan what, armed kidnapping and extraction to this educational, recreational, ecological rescue (and where are the zookeepers coming from?
This is a "business"?
1: Steal underpants
2: ?
3: Profits.
Not exactly.
Just so you know what the "plan" is, these island communities are to be the training ground for Plato's Philosopher Kings.
Political Change will create global change by striving for intelligent ‘Women’ to become Heads of State. Political change is an idea from a man, Ryan who believes men have had their chance and the world has been engrossed in war, rape, murder, genocide and politics of business, not of nobility, justice and conscience. Political change will support those Ladies it feels are “Ladies” and do not turn into men, within the political system, however they desire. Currently focusing on returning power to the Elected Prime Minister of Burma, we are looking at how best to change the illegal military Junk-ta and will not stop until this happens.
Right.
To finance all of this, you can give money to the, for profit, Concientious Traveller, which is going to finance all of this. They promise.
No tax breaks, no pesky accounting requirements, nope. Give them business (or gifts) and they promise they will change the world.

Re: The Founder
Date: 2007-07-05 09:37 pm (UTC)Not at all. I offered to help a Kiwi organisation by offering part of the Island, as it is endangered.
They wanted an Island project to happen and said they are keeping this in mind but it is far from NZ, if the other island does not happen they will look at us.
That's all.

Re: The Founder
Date: 2007-07-10 01:46 am (UTC)1. You really need to learn how to SPELL if you expect anyone to ever take you seriously - especially if you expect anyone to believe the "Dr." before the Flynn.
2. The more defensive you get, the more wrapped up in these discussions, and your online video defenses, the more obvious it is that your 'pyramid scheme' amounts to nothing. Someone with substance behind them, like your hero Richard Branson, wouldn't give a rats petutie what anyone else was saying negatively about their project. In fact, he would see it as a waste of time, to be spending all this time responding to negativities instead of focusing on recruiting, organizing, detailing, ordering spell-check software, hiring a web developer, and Moving Ahead with the project. Ahhhh.....but there is no project. It's all in your mind, right.
3. I don't know what you're after. But, I know that one of the online travel communities in which you have insinuated yourself is getting quite sick of your presence and misuse of their site. Your time there may be limited.
4. You don't have an organization yet. You are creating the appearance of one, and hoping that a real one will come of that. The Field of Dreams "Build it and they will come" philosophy. But, like said in an entry above, if you are serious, then you do need to hire someone who is a much better spokesperson. And/or sit down and go back to the drawing board and figure all of this out before you go dragging naive and hopeful people into your selfish schemes.
5. I agree with most of what has been written above. None of what you say or propose makes any sense when it is pinned down. You are wasting a lot of people's time, especially those poor souls you have talked into putting their pictures up on your site. Stop thinking about yourself and your own ego for two seconds, and realize that you are affecting others in a negative way. If you're serious, and this is not all about Ryan and Ryan getting attention, then pull yourself together, sit down with some knowledgeable people and get a real plan.
Re: The Founder
Date: 2007-07-10 01:48 pm (UTC)More than a year ago, Ryan proposed a similar -- but differently named -- organization that no longer exists: "Living Legends". He'll claim that the web site was 'stolen' by a web developer/coder, and yet he works very hard to deny the use of that name, web site, etc. to this day. In that process, he began to name multiple organizations as 'partners' or proposed partners, mine included. Additionally, he began to develop relationships with key executive leaders and/or founders at each of these organizations in an effort to solicit support and being able to use their foundations/networks to his advantage. Many, if not all, of these individuals and organizations have demanded that he stop using their name and connection. Additionally, many of the individuals have demanded that Ryan stop contacting them.
A year later?
It seems that he continues to use the same strategy (loosely defined here) of inappropriate communication, naming 'partners' that do not exist, and dodging legitimate feedback and criticism of his practices/plans.
Sadly, it appears that he has enough well-intentioned young people who a) want to do good (but haven't done the due diligence to suspect the down-side of being associated with him in these 'ventures') or b) simply want to 'party' (hence, the boats, the 30Corp, etc.) which he's offering to 'fund' the supposed 'philanthropic' proposal(s).
Consider his collection of YouTube videos that propose many of these, including 30Corp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZICPPMQLYI Note: you can find many other videos he's offering via the same link, too. Definitely worth looking at all associated with White Orchid. I suspect he'll begin to fade as the key face/voice soon, and you'll see more people -- like Magda (the designer/architect of his proposed 'school') beginning to be the YouTube interface for his efforts. In essence, he'll use their 'testimonials' to filter away the negative criticism associated with him and hope to create a form of viral marketing -- pyramid scheme? -- in the process.
Without even getting into the psychology of his communication style, reactions to criticism, multiple fronts and organization headings, and inability to realize that the Internet is doing an outstanding job of tying together all of his efforts to cloud truth along the way...and without getting into the strong responses above by several of you to illuminate the concerns with his choice of kidnapping girls from sex slavery to 'house' them on a protected 'island' where they will be 'rehabilitated' and 'educated' for some unknown purpose in the future...one has to wonder how much longer he'll be concocting these stories. I suspect this is woven into his personality deep enough and that he's put too much out there already for him to run from it. Perhaps create another version in the future if the White Orchid (et al) 'brand' falls prey to what he tried to do with Living Legends a year ago. But he'll re-surface. Again. And again.
To be truthful, I'm finding Ryan to be more and more delusional in believing that his 'story' will hold up much longer. On some level -- talking at a bar with someone, leaving curious invites on various globe-surfing Internet sites, etc. But beyond that? Too many Internet links already in play.
The only thing that concerns me at this point is that there are a handful of young people who will be drawn into his plans...and may actually dedicate time, energy, money...and their own reputations...to 'help' his 'cause'. Someone is going to get hurt. And it won't be the girls he suggests he will rescue -- he won't -- or those of us in forums or blogs who are talking about it -- we won't. It will be some recent college graduate who wants to make the world a better place who will fall prey to this guy. And that, I think, is the real tragedy that is waiting for one, or many, who follow him.
