I decided, before I run off to play with solidified mud, to run the comment stats program.

One user has some 4 percent of all comments.

Then another 15 come in with about 2 percent.

With a gradual diminuition.

(And of course the first thing I do is make a comment on being surprised how often I apparently comment. I think I see how I might've gotten to where I am. =) )

Looking at the "usual suspects" I am 1: amused at how few total comments I have, and 2: most of the big commenters are people who have had running conversations, or have interests which really overlap.

What I'd like to be able to do (and barring both a regular running of the stats engine it ain't'a gonna happen) to see the trend over time.

Who is posting lately, who showed up, said a lot and then vanished (I know of a couple of those... hot-button topics which caused people to come in and tell me what they thought of my misguided lack of understanding. Quelle surprise, most don't do that very often).
