When you see this, it means I have sycled a few pictures into the folder. With 100mb total, and pictures of more than a meg apiece, I can't keep all of the up, which means I can find outside hosting, let links die, or I can post things here, and when people find them, well they won't always be the same.

And soon I'll start editing the images, so they won't be so ill composed. Right now you're getting, esp. the bird pictures, stuff that is shot at max length, so the framing is less than ideal.

I love these photos and the last set that you posted. I'm not nearly articulate enough to describe why they resonate with me...but I feel rather calm right now. And I can only attribute it to these images before me.

thank you. I look forward to seeing more from you.

I'm adding a couple more to this, even now. SO check in a couple of minutes.

Thank you! I'm loving these too. I wish I had the patience and talent to take these kinds of pictures. My entire family was gifted with some sort of visual talent. I was gifted with the ability to appreciate it and feel it intimately.

My problem with most of these is a lack of patience (well, that and too short a lens, and not enough light, so there are a lot which are out of focus (or not quite on, because the depth of field is too shallow).

I'd guess the total time, for both sessions, is maybe an hour... at most an hour and a half. The worst part is that the water was cold, and some got into my wellies.

I'll try to take some more tomorrow, because we have to feed Scarlett (one of the horses is running a little underweight, so we have to supplement her pasturage) and with luck there will be light, and I'll remember to take the 500mm, or I'll tack the 2x extention on the 70-300 and be able to get some close images.

I'm afraid that with my own quota I can't offer any additional space on my site, although I can recommend my hosting company if you want to set up your own site. Ping me if you want details.

I'll probably be setting up a chunk of space at capaphoto.com (whihch is my Dad's) as that is useful for both our businsesses.

If I need to, I'll ping.

What mystryloca said about the calming effect. Very nice. And it's a lovely part of the country, too.

Oh how gorgeous! You really should enter some of the Worth1000 (or likewise) photo contests.

I need to select some for competitions. I think I was lazy and missed the deadline for this year's Nikon contest.

Since I've not had a digital camera before, entries for competition were harder to manage, since there was so much more work, and expense, involved.
