I am, even now, late (though not really) for my flight to Texas.

I've no idea if I will be able to check in. Any lack of comment, therefore, shouldn't be taken as a lack of affection, but rather a lack of time/access.

It may not be until after the first week in Nov. I get to check in again (though I doubt it, I know were the bodies are buried at Ft. Lewis and ought to be able to find some internet somewhere).

Have fun while I'm gone.

Safe travels. Call us when you're in town (I'm assuming you'll still end up at Lewis at some point, even though you're starting out in the opposite direction). And I hope the dates don't mean they're fucking with your franchise.

The only problem with my franchise is the, to date, lack of my absentee ballot. As I am supposed to return to L.A. on Fri. 29 Oct., I ought to be able to go to an early poll, show my orders (even if other aspects are screwed up) and vote... for the presidential, senatorial and state issues, if nothing else.

And let someone try to challenge my vote.

Education center at Hood is open 7 days a week and has a computer lab with computers that are uncensored.

Would that be the Casey Memorial Library? If so I have found it (and it across the street from my course location, I think... less than well planned seems to be the theme, for now).

I ought to be able to keep up.

Nah, library computers have some sites blocked, mostly webmail sites. But obviously not livejournal.

So tell me how to find the Ed Center (the one at Lewis is all right, but has some oddities in access)

OK, do you know where Popeye's is?|

Down Batallion Ave, towards the 1st Cav side of things (on the way to the Commissary et al), there's a Popeye's. You take the left turn just before that shoppette next to Popeye's, and drive about a block. You'll see a huge building with a red roof. That's the education center.

The Computer Lab is on the first floor, I want to say 118 or so. Not sure.

The librarian (as I was signing in to get the computer to read this, gave someone directions. I know where the Popeye's is (not only is it the landmark in the directions to not finding 33010, it's next to the shoppette I bought the one thing I forgot, rank. I've not worn BDUs in 20 months, and forgot they were naked), so I shall now go and see about unfettered access.
