I have a new post up. showing off some of my progress at spinning.

I am not actually pubbing all the new material I put up to DW/LJ, so @betterthansalt is probably the most reliable way to know when I have something new up.

Woo! I didn't know you were spinning. Looks lovely. How many wheels/spindles? I have four wheels and numerous spindles.

I've got one wheel, and a lazy kate on the way. I've got four decent spindles, and two which aren't, to me, all that pleasant to use. When I'm next in Seattle, I'll swing by a fiber arts place I know and see if they have any cascade spindles in stock.

I'd like a nice, light; heavily rim-weighted, one for doing really fine yarns.

I like Cascade spindles, but my favorites are from Thomas Golding and Ken Ledbetter. I also have a few Bosworth spindles and some assorted ones from other folks (one guy in Texas made me one that looks like a hydrogen atom). The two inch Goldings are heavily rim-weighted with a metal ring, and are great for fine yarn.

I really like Weaving Works in Seattle, but I don't know when I'll be up there anytime soon.

My four wheels are: a 30" Ashford Elizabeth 2, and the rest are Schachts, (a Matchless, a Ladybug, and a Sidekick that lives at my yarn shop for spinning nights), I also have four looms, but that's a whole 'nother story.
