There's a thunderstorm over me right now, and the weather forecast has it moving up the Shenandoah Valley, i.e. my path of travel.

So I'm leaving tomorrow, not today.

Ugh, sorry. The offer of housing still stands, of course - though I won't be making it to dinner as I had hoped, due to having a ticket to a concert on the Virginia side of things. Still, safe travels and all that.

A decent place to get breakfast is easy: just up the street at Mark's. Or else in my very kitchen, if you're up for experimental oat-banana-walnut pancakes and local fried meat of some sort. Totally your call, though.

And, yeah, it's sad about dinner, but I've had plans for the concert for months, as a slightly late b-day celebration, so.

Just by the bye, I second Mark's Kitchen as a pleasant place to eat. Dunno whether they make the wicked little yummy mung bean pancakes at that hour, but they certainly do at lunchtime.

They most certainly do make the mung bean pancakes for breakfast - as part of a combo with two starches (hash browns or grits, toast or english muffin) and your choice of eggs. So, yeah, those are on the table. Though I've never had them and can thus only recommend them in the general spirit of 'pretty much everything at Mark's is good'.
