There's a thunderstorm over me right now, and the weather forecast has it moving up the Shenandoah Valley, i.e. my path of travel.

So I'm leaving tomorrow, not today.

Sounds like a plan; see you @ Mandalay tomorrow evening. (930 Bonifant, Ag Spg. Ph: 301 585 0500; they don't really take reservations, though they do like to be informed if someone is going to drop a large party on them.)

Just by the bye, I second Mark's Kitchen as a pleasant place to eat. Dunno whether they make the wicked little yummy mung bean pancakes at that hour, but they certainly do at lunchtime.

They most certainly do make the mung bean pancakes for breakfast - as part of a combo with two starches (hash browns or grits, toast or english muffin) and your choice of eggs. So, yeah, those are on the table. Though I've never had them and can thus only recommend them in the general spirit of 'pretty much everything at Mark's is good'.

Yum. One of these days, I gotta get over there for breakfast.

Hope you get a chance to try the pancakes; hope you like them as much as I do, which is quite a lot.

...And yeah, it sure seems like they know what they're doing.
