To that end one of the groups hoping to stall, or just outright kill, improvements to our healthcare system has put together a list of town halls for the summer
Take a look. If there is one you can get to, go. Take a friend (or ten). Get there early, sit down front. Fill the place. Ask polite question about things like single payer, and make comparisons to medicare, and the DoD.

Date: 2009-08-11 04:49 pm (UTC)They'll make a lot of noise, Smith will sit there, as colorless as his name, the local media will cover it and it'll make no difference in the long run; the votes in the Ninth fall to the retired teachers and the Boeing workers afraid that the company will take manufacturing to a right-to-work state, and the increasing number of second-generation hispanic and Pacific Islander kids who went to school with my two young-adult offspring and are voting left.
