I might be able to borrow a car, but I am not going to have easy means of getting to from SF for a little while.

Actually, there is.

More happily I don't need to use it the whole way. We are, as they say, on.

What is the time frame? We'll be heading up from MV, and CG has to work, so 5-6 is a little early.
