Unfortunately, a lot of politics is heated this year, and leading to confrontations like this. I'm hearing it from both sides (locally as well as online).
Wow. Just... wow. Amazing how hatred turns people into raving, screaming apes.
In Arkansas, a religious group called the "Family Council" has put a proposition on our ballot- one that is meant to keep unmarried couples from adopting children in the state, but which is really aimed at keeping gay couples from adopting.
I am happy to say that in my right-wing, religious and conservative state, this bill is going down in flames.
I probably would know some of those people if their faces were clearer and less contorted.
A block away the signwavers were "No on 8" supporters. These were the people I encountered (and told that Apple had donated to "No on 8" and announced it on the Hot News).
(A quick check: this was the day following Theremina's imcident. I didn't see "Yes on 8" folks at the next intersection, but I wasn't looking. Or they weren't loud.)

Tomorrow should be ... interesting.
