I don't talk a lot about it out of shame, but as someone finally starting to come off of some programs, and still on others, it's practically a full time job. Under the best of circumstances keeping medicaid is a pain. And that's for kids. For adults? WORSE. A $200 or more 'spenddown' (deductable) EVERY TWO MONTHS. For an adult in a family of four with a reported income of $800 a month.
If you have $800 a month and still have bills/rent to pay, how the hell can you afford a $200 deductable? You do get about $400 food stamps tho with that. Seriously tho. Crazy stuff.
