I shot some stuff at Dickens.

So here are a three, though because the images are more than 400 pixels wide I am placing them behind

The woman in the window is [profile] barelyproper.

In the window

Looking in the window.

This was harder to play with, because the lighting in the Cow Palace is a type of sodium arc, in the window is tungsten, and I was using flash to fill.

The men regarding her were participants. They saw my set-up (I was using the middle-weight tripod) and asked if I was taking pictures of her. I allowed as I was actually taking in the entire scene. They asked if I should like them to stand in. I said, why yes, and they did.

The last picture is of Maia and myself, taken after hours.

I reduced the saturation, and then played with the contrast, the noise and the hue to make it look more like a hand tinted image, on with a flat lens and moderately insensitive film stock; so as to evoke the mood of the period.

We are using it as our Christmas card.

Thank you again, they are lovely. I also really like the "hand colored" picture. Very nice.

Great pictures, Terry. The picture of you and Maia is very cute. Did she ever tell you about the Dickens' Festivals we had as fundraisers for LACHSA?
