On the lighter side
Apr. 13th, 2005 05:02 pmBeing barely present for the best part of a month means I've not had so much chance to engage in silliness (at least not here).
I am, for those who wish to conspire with me in the Cause of Unitarian Jihad, The Claymore of Sudden Enlightenment which seems to sum that up pretty damned well. I'd not have minded something like "Sibling Hand Grenade of Reasoned Debate" for the sheer irony of that image, but I got the first one, and it just rang a bell.
akirlu posted the Band Meme, so These are all bands/performers I've seen live. The ones in bold are bands I've seen live, when she was present.
Boiled in Lead
Ryuichi Sakamoto
Warren Zevon
John Parr
Big Daddy
Julian Lennon
Andi PrieBoy
Concrete Blonde
The Untouchables
The Capitol Steps
Gordon Lightfoot
Brother (bagpipes and electric guitar, how can one say no?)
Peter, Paul, and Mary
Erasure
The Judds (I went with a friend, OK?)
some Tuvans (throat singing)
Cone of Silence (strange little group)
Celtic Clan
A bunch of Irish bands in small bars
I know there are more, but I've not been to many clubs/concerts of late, and the memory isn't what it used to be.
And that will be it for the pointless and the mildy revelatory.
