I'm looking at various places to go, as the trip progresses.

The Night Kitchen is in Seattle, and it's affiliated with a Slacktivite (Slacktivite: n. one who comments at Slacktivist.

I'll add to it with comments, as I go along. I may keep it even after; perhaps with thumbnail reviews.

If you go, please give the Mad Gastronomer my fondest regards.

I know a bunch of people who love the Night Kitchen. In fact, I think a friend's husband built some of their signage.

I'd love to meet you at either place if you end up with a gathering of luminous beings. Night Kitchen has been on my list for a while, and I only got a chance for appetizers as Panos Kleftikos, when i was there.

Any clue when you'll reach here? It's been way too long since we've seen you. I think I missed you your last trip to Seattle.

A "Gathering of Light is, perhaps (because of the associational overlap of Making Light and Slacktivist) better done at The Night Kitchen (and the name is so worth it... Sendak whoo-hoo!).

But we shall see what we shall see.

Oh hey, you're coming here? Awesome. :) The Night Kitchen is neat, I've been in there a couple of times.

The planning is being done now. It's a bit up in the air, but... my best guess is arriving between the 22nd and the 28th of August.

My last trip was a short one to Ft. Lewis, so yeah, I think you did miss it. Mind you it was... I think, six years ago.

Seattle . . .
I thought you were on the opposite coast . . .
If you pass through (as opposed to around or simply near) Chicago, I can probably make interesting suggestions which fit your interests.

If you want to do some aikido you should let me know and I will be happy to show you around my dojo (Aikido Eastside -- http://aikieast.com). For the martial arts tourist I would say that it is a "must-see".

I live in SF. I'm going to be in Ottawa. I am transiting from Tenn, to NJ/NYC. From Ottawa to home will take me to Seattle.

I will probably be grabbing a meal in Chicago, but aiming for Madison (it's the way the trip breaks out).

Which is a pity, I like Chicago, and was hoping to spend some time there, but it boiled down to time with [personal profile] ladymondegreen or Chicago.

:)
