Bill O'Reilly never really learns that messing with a comedian, esp. one with both a bully pulpit, and a sense of righteous indignation, isn't the best course of action.

Worse, he did it after the Daily Show took Fox to school.

Fox News, the new liberals.


Then we have Glen Beck. He has been making the pitch that reforming the healtcare mess will be "giving up the best healthcare in America." The best part, he's is one of three things, a hypocrite, a liar, or both.

A while back he had surgery; he didn't have a good feeling about our healthcare system then. Again, John Stewart serves a cold dish of crow.

That was beyond awesome! Especially "I was on food stamps and welfare, who helped me then." What else is there to say, eh?

Don't mess with a politically active comedian. There's nothing as belittling as having people laugh at you. Laughing is so much more effective than frothing at the mouth.

I'm wondering though if the average Fox News viewer will ever hear about this. We do a good job of keeping one another informed, but how do we best get our ideas across to those on the other side?

As a class, so-so. It helps (if one can both stomach it, and not completely alienate them) to visit places they come to harangue the benighted liberals.

That would be my workplace. Which means the trick I need is to be able to make the point without pissing them off, because pissed-off people just tune you out rather than thinking about what you said.

Note for record: I like these co-workers despite their preference in news sources.
