Dec. 3rd, 2007 11:56 pmSorry for the ugly, but I am not using my computer, so makig it look prettier is harder (getting them uploaded is hard enough).
The skies are clear (but the stars are hard to see, because of the lights). I hope this means either plain cold, or snow. The cold rain and boggy-glue which the walkways are becoming is past tiresome.
I'll see tomoorrw if I am going to have more translating help, or if we are, slightly, outnumbered by the Russians. Today I only felt 3/4 stupid for a little while. The guy had made some assumptions, which made my answers seem bizarre. Once that was cleared up I didn't feel so badly.
As usual, clicking through will get you larger images.

Date: 2007-12-05 02:37 pm (UTC)I had never seen the name "Grafenwör" in print before (Dad's tour of duty in Germany was late 1959 to late 1962; he was on maneuvers there in early 1960, at the same time as Elvis Presley and a young Colin Powell), and wasn't sure the place was still in use. (The base where we lived has closed.)
But yeah, the word one associates with Grafenwör is mud.
