I've been playing with more pictures (and papers). I've not done much to these pictures, with two exceptions. I just got a new piece of software, which is a Photoshop application. It runs via the filter menu, but it's not a plug-in. It's curves which are meant to emulate various film-stocks. It's nice (and I like the effect the various Polaroid sets provide, printed onto paper they might be really good, but I've not found the right subjects for the quality they provide). So two of these were treated as if they were on a Fuji stock. I don't really think the balance on the curves is quite right (the Velvia lack the incredible saturation which that film stock provides) but as a starting point it's pretty good. I'll probably build some templates and use them, once I've gotten this project finished. Since I used the "post to journal" function, those who want to see these at the "full" size of 600 pixels x "X" will have to click them, but they will open in new tabs/windows. I thinkt the are small enough that one click is enough to see them full-sized.

Fine photos, on the monitor.

Unless the Splitters have been ridiculously busy, I don't see how that could be anything but a Magnolia species (though I don't know enough to say which one).

That's what I thought, but as it was in Korea (Daegu) and the habit was very different from what I know, and the trees bare of leaf...
