Here, in Ottawa

Putting it all together was... interesting. I've not felt inconvenienced by the transit strike. I'm told this is because I've no basis for comparison. In Los Angeles the distances we've been walking would be for walking in any case. Firstly, the nearest bus stop is a quarter of a mile. The nearest practical/speedy one is about a mile (12 minute walk, downhill).
So a mile and a half to the art supply, which is four blocks from the printer, and two blocks (in the other direction) from the framer isn't that big a deal.
Until you have to make third, and fourth, trips.
Having sorted this all out, I don't think the third and fourth trips will be needful for the next show, wherever it happens to be. Things I didn't think about are now pressed firmly in my mind (the inserts with commercial frames, are not archival, nor do commercial frames come with backing paper; this wasn't a big deal, save that one of the prints is of a size which precluded a commercial frame, so it was done at the framers, which meant it had backing, so I decided to make them all look like this).
Varnished frames, don't take glue well.
The furniture

Needs to be mounted lower than one thinks (if you look at the mounted photos, you will see the wall hooks above some of them).
But mounting them to the wall was pretty easy, even if we'd forgotten the hammmer. We knew they had one. Didn't know it had been warped by someone between when we used it last week (to help Rayne hang her show) and Tues. when I needed it but wasn't too hard.

When all was said and done... the wall was tolerably filled.

One more image might not be a bad thing... if something sells with speed, then I might take that money and mount two images, so that empty spot in the upper left is full. Which might make Umi happier, and make it easier to get repeat shows.
