You seem to be confusing my distrust of gov't (and this one in specific) with a concomittant trust/love/affection of the other side.
I wouldn't be quiet about this if it were a Democrat, Libertarian, Rastafarian, even myself, in office.
Honestly, the best form of gov't is probably a benevolent dictatorship. Even, however, if we could find a Bernadotte; and convince the public to accept him, the problem is, and always has been, succession. The things done today become legacies. I have been railing about RICO since I found out about it. I ranted about it under Bush Pere. I ranted about it under Clinton. I'll probably be ranting about it to the day I die, because it's too potent a tool for governments to discard it, and the lure of being able to get at "criminals" without having to prove a case to a jury is always going to be acceptable to some segment of the populace, because we all know, they get off on technicalities.
Truth be told, I'm not all that left, it's just that the political climate has moved Right.
