It happens
Aug. 12th, 2005 07:45 pmI have been quiet of late.
Little things and big. Digesting the Ukraine trip, going to my high school reunion (I have half a post built on that, but only half).
Drill, and the usual nonsense, which ate five days, and a couple of days at Cp.s SLO and Roberts working a range, and some aftermath, for the Civil Air Patrol.
And yesterday I found out I am going to be at Camp Bob for two weeks. It isn't so much I mind that, but with Maia being gone, us being gone, me being gone, it seems I've not slept in my own bed much.
And this thing was supposed to be not happening, so I'm not packed and it's starting on Saturday, so I have to haul my tired ass out of bed at some infernal hour to leave the land of fog and breeze (the light here is like that of Dragheara, the sun doesn't shine, and the clouds hang low), for the blistering weather at Roberts (it was 109F Thursday, while I was guarding weapons. I have hat burn from Weds. at the range, despite repeated applications of Bullfrog).
So, uniforms in the laundry, packing to do and I am likely to be out of the loop for the next 15 days.

Date: 2005-08-15 08:55 pm (UTC)It's unfortunate that I didn't get to see you when we were in town. We're planning to move to CA next summer so we'll get to see each other more often.
Take care.
Beth

Look at the mispelled unit designation? Typo? or misleading search?
