That bothers me -- but only a little because nuttery is far from unknown. Very few people in my neighborhood (Covina) -- which seems to be pretty evenly mixed between the parties, as I recall from the posted regestrations at the Primary -- have signs posted this year. Fewer than usual, I think, perhaps because of a general perception that all minds are made up by now, or perhaps to avoid Confrontation. The house across the street, however, has had "Kerry/Edwards" and "Hilda Solis" signs up for over a week, and I regret to admit that I check every morning, by the dawn's early light, and am slightly surprised (though pleased) to discover that they're still there. I can't remember ever having felt that way before; it was a Given that you might argue with your neighbors, but you didn't try to silence their expression of political opinon.
