No one took my offer on the odds of Eivind Berge being unwilling to be a woman, even with all the advantages he avers they have.

It didn't take so much as an hour for him to say no.

He also said his opinions on rape, "basic libertarianism", because forced equality is wrong, and so rape (to balance the books) is no more wrong.

Two wrongs, you see, cancel each other out.

Hey, maybe he just confused the word libertine with libertarian? Wouldn't that make so much more sense?

I'll be off dulling my rusty scissors, in preparation for castrating him.

Oh no... better to leave him his bollocks. He's not really using them, and taking them away will only convince him (more) that he is a threat to the perverse order of this tainted world.

It's not as if (without some serious enlightenment, a Road to Damascus moment) he shall ever realise his failures lie not in the stars, but himself. There is no need to give him martyrdom.

Me... I'd send him some Cialis, or Viagra spam; maybe even arrange for him to have a sample pack.

I thought a spoon was the usual equipment for such a task. :)

No, the tool for that is a staple, of the large sort.

One uses it to secure his scrotum to a chair. The chair is too heavy to lift. Food, and water are just out of reach. A dullish steak knife (of the sort at most chain restaurants, a la Outback) is in reach.

He may choose which is more preferable, his testicles, or not dying of hunger and thirst.

I saw your earlier post. I... *wordless anger*

"Sociopath" comes to mind, though - someone who has no feeling for anyone except himself. (I've known a female or two who fit that definition, but I've seen it a bit more in men.)

Gah. I'm not sure I can ....

nah. Words, coherence, a problem. (Friends else-net, whose baby was born via emergency Caesarian less than two weeks ago, at 25 weeks - the baby died today. I've been trying to sleep, failing miserably, and I think I'm going to find the Irish Whiskey, some coffee, some demerara sugar. Haven't got real cream to float on it, but milk will be an adequate substitute.) (People I know, with real problems - and then there are dickheads like Berge. Were this the Luna of RAH's The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress, I'd be advocating that he either be shoved out the airlock, or else buried deep in someone's food-growing tunnels. Gah.)

I'm sorry if my holding him up to obloquy added to any stress. Condolence on the pain of the rest. I think a strong irish coffee, and such snuggly comfort as you can avail yourself of are most strongly in order.

Berge is, almost certainly, a self-limiting problem, and not likely to influence anyone who was not already warped and twisted; he is beneath our contempt, even if ignoring him is not something we can do.

Wait, does that meant I can shoot him without penalty?

(Joking. Mostly.)

Oh, no, you didn't add to the stress, it was already maxed out. If that makes sense? The Irish coffee is being sipped; the only snuggly company I have is that of my cat, but she's up on the bed.

I very seldom wish ill on people, but every once in a while someone comes along, and... well, "out the airlock" seems entirely reasonable.

The BP executives should be doing cleanup, as long as there *is* cleanup, with no more protective equipment than their lowest-paid worker has, and at no pay - all income forfeited, living in FEMA trailers on site... and even that's too good for them.

Oh good. So if I punch him in the face, it'll just cancel out the wrong he's done by saying stupid nonsense, and everything will be cool. Got it.

The problem with your proferred bet is that one must first accept the assumption that Berge is human.

Pathetic.
