pecuniumI start working my way back home tomorrow. It will probably be the reverse of the trip out here (which means nighttime the whole way. and the moon fleeing behind us). On the one hand that means I won't have idiot stewardesses telling me to close my window, and then assuming I'm afraid of flying, because I like to look at the scenery, but it means I won't have that scenery, and I'll have to fight to stay awake.
It's been a good trip. Career wise, yes... I have some new credits for the bio, and new skills, and more insights on things I knew (practical applications of things theoretical, and insight on how the reports I get are put together).
Work wise... yes. It's not been hard work, but it has been busy.
Tourist wise... not so much. I've seen more of the country, but I've not had much free time to go out. I might be able to do some tomorrow, and perhaps Sat. is going to be a day off, before the flight home, but I doubt it.
On the other hand, that doesn't bother me too much. I want to buy some souvenir for some people, but I got the feel of the place last time, and it feels much the same. A tad more Americanized (more McD's, and KFC, and Dunkin' Donuts (which I can't get in L.A., but hey, if the world were perfect I'd be out of work).
It'll be nice to go home.
