I've finished them. There are four, and you can see them here Terrence Karney. If you want to link, I get a little more money if the click comes from here. If you want to take a look at them, you can hit the links below and see thumbnails of all the pictures.

The four are:

Menagerie which is animals and insects (which includes a spider, for the purists among you).

From the Earth Abundant which is plants and flowers.

Landscapes and Buildings which is just what it sounds like.

Las Encantadas which is the Galapagos.

The cover is not repeated in inside so all except Las Encantadas have 13 images. Las Encantadas has an image on the back as well, so it's got 14.

The images are 7x11, and should be suitable for framing. Not quite as nice as if you ordered a print, but 300 dpi jpgs were uploaded, so they ought to be fine at that size.

Cost is $19.60 US. There is a discount for "bulk" purchases. What it means is buying more than one costs less. They don't care if you mix and match.

As it turns out, Zazzle doesn't let you recover your userid (!), only the password, so my order won't go through anyway until somebody sees my support request. #$@#$

Then you get a better calendar. One which has one of the "cute" photos I wanted in it.

Really, zazzle is nice, but some of the design tools are a pain. I spent about six hours yesterday fighting with various aspects of it.

Tools, yes. Tools indeed.

Oh! The pain, the pain! Yes, I've struggled through so many hours and hours on different sites or software trying to get my blog-book and some photo-books done to reasonably satisfactory standards. Put book of blog up eventually, though not anywhere near satisfactory, just to get the words available, but no books of pictures yet :(

Those calendars look veddy naice, though. Congratulations on getting good results after that effort.

A Query: It may be my computer and my eyes, or the bits that are shown on site, but I can't see any ID or captions. If people want the picture page for prints later, I can understand not putting any on that, but is there anything to identify the pictures either on the calendar part below, or the reverse of the picture (presumably previous month's calendar grid), or a listing on the inside back page, say?

Maybe more people would feel the lack of information on the Landscapes and Buildings. I'd guess they're more likely to want to know where and what a building or place is, rather than necessarily wanting to know which animal (I count non-mammals amongst them) or plant, and where it is. OTOH, I am a gnoscophile.

It is, sadly, not your eyes, nor computer. The only ways to caption involve 1: writing over the photo. 2: Are not easy (for me) to decipher and 3: I don't know how reliable the image is to the product. I don't get a much larger workspace than you get a preview of the individual months.

But I do have the images for the individual pages in separate locations (duplication of information, mostly) so if someone wants, "the crab in the waves" from Las Encantadas, I can find it with a couple of mouseclicks.

I'd like a chunk of the page below to let me put a descriptor in, on the flip side the learning curve was pretty steep, so that would probably have been another four hours in the making of the calendars.
