I have a request. If there is any among you who reads japanese, and wants to tackle a bit of translation...

I got a reply to one of my recent posts, all in Japanese (lots of hirigana/katkana, only a little kanji). I'm pretty sure it's spam, I just wonder for what.

(then again, maybe not. I now have two, different, comments, both in Japanese)

I read Japanese, and would be happy to take a look - I don't see the post, could you link me?

Wish I could help. I used to know the hiragana and katakana, but I hit a brick wall with kanji. The conversational stuff, what little I had, I lost from disuse. Gomennasai.

I received several messages in what appeared to be Japanese a couple of days ago. Anonymous. I assumed they were spam.

If they were like the ones I just had translated... ew.

Not spam, at least not in the sense that I think of it. Loathesome and foul, both from the same IP, in Tokyo.

I don't know how they chose to bless me with it, but yuck.

I received a burst of six of them, of varying length. I still have the text in my Mail program, but not the IP addresses.

But given your reaction, I don't think I want them translated...
