Whoooot!!!!!

I am bummed. I just found out Al Stewart is playing at McCabes, in Santa Monica, on Friday. He is, as expected, sold out.

I am jazzed, because I also found out (by other means), that a band I first saw at McCabes (a long time ago) has a new album on the way.

I can hope this means Boiled in Lead will be touring in my neck of the woods sometime soon.

Having done some crazy things to see them in the past, I figure I can do some less crazy things and see them this time around.

I know a lot of Al fans.

In the realm of, "I don't believe it" when I was in Iraq some of my friends were at a show (I think it was in Santa Barbara), and they got him to sign a birthday card for me.

In, and of, itself, that's not much. Al will sign anything, non-living, you hand him, but that's all he'll do.

Well he wrote, "Good Luck" on it, so I guess I my presence in the list-serv of fans was more notable than I'd expected.

It's one of the few autographs I have, and has the most meaning, for me, of those.
