Huh?

I have the MySpace because some friends of my were using it to blog, and I wanted to make comments. Nothing new has gone up on it since the day I created it.

There are lots of things I don't get about MySpace... the urge to have huge clouds of "friends" the spam accounts which beg me to add them, in the hope I will click throuh to a porn site, or a canadian pharmacy (usually the same profile)... this Does Not Compute.

On okcupid, "please use my yahoo address" is pretty much "hi, this is some sort of scam." Period.

Yeah, I think it's some sort of scam (and I reported it) but I don't see why an account which is dead is the target of such.

Yeah, it's probably a case of, Myspace range of A-Z get the message, but... sigh. I guess I just don't get people sometimes.

MySpace works great as a place to learn about new music; indie bands use it to promote themselves. As a social networking site (its new use, springing from these musical beginnings) it is very nearly useless.

Stuff like that was why I ditched "MySpace" two weeks after I got my page. It wasn't worth the bother, and even though I did as much as I could to be private, I still got hit on.

I got a myspace early in the summer cause of friends, also. I don't get why people use it. It's the worst.interface.ever. I'm soooo not the demographic. And it scares me that there is a demographic that can stand it.
