I was trying to limit myself to not posting until the last piece of trip report is finished, but it's taking more work/mental energy than I seem to have.

And then I see something which can't wait.

Clergy being asked/trained to "quell dissent" in event of martial law

I can't think of anything coherent, save that it might be time to make sure one has lots of powder to keep dry.

Is anyone really surprised? Certain elements of the Christian church have been hand in glove with this Administration all along, and one of the ways BushCo has kept power is by riding HARD on the "man of God" angle. Not to mention that corrupting the clergy was one of the ways the slaves were kept in line, back before the Civil War... why abandon a useful tool?
