Rumor (and we know how rife that is)has it that KBR is going to be limiting, insomuch as it can, access to the net for the next 90 days.

If they are doing this at the direction of others... it is heinous. I'm going to be looking for e-mail from deployed friends, and doing some tests to find out what's going on, and if it seems the Gov't is restricting communications from the troops, I intend to raise holy hell.

I already have some congress-critters in my rolodex.

I'm sure there's some innocent explanation for this. After all, the Secretary of Defense has assured us that investigations into war crimes at Abu Ghreib are ongoing, and the perpetrators will surely be given their due punishment, so surely nothing is happening there now that would be exposed by emailing out some more scandalous JPEGs.

Didn't one of the suspects (Frederick?), in one of his emails, complain about the KBR dry-cleaning service leaving stains on his uniform? Maybe that's why KBR is choking off Net access -- to prevent any further complaints about their cleaning and food service.

And I have this wonderful bridge to sell you.
