More comment spam
Mar. 19th, 2007 08:03 amFor some reason my post about the dojo's annual party seems to be the popular one with comment spammers. It was the one which had the least delay before being spammed, and has gotten more than any other.
Yesterday had the one which seemed the least well thought out to me... pheremone perfume.
This stuff has been being touted for decades. Purely based on the lack of it taking over the market, I figure it's snake-oil. The stuff I got spammed for yeasterday was snake-oil snakes with no brains.
Because it was promising that women would be, practially, fighting to get near me, that they would line up in ranks for the chance to talk to me. Why? Because it has "lesbian" pheremones.
Assuming they are right, this is one stupid pitch. If it attracts lesbians, why would I, a male, want it? Because while it might (assuming they are correct) get their attention, I'm not going to be what they are interested in.
An hour later I got another piece of spam, same product; same url, no lesbians. This one was more a "Penthouse Letters" sort of deal, with out the explicit details.
Today I got one for the more usual "real deal, no more ripoffs" penis enlargement patch. I'm sure it's as useful as the "lesbian pheremones."
