Spring is here

Titling this one was hard. I wanted to find something which captured the sense of wings enfolding something. I thought about making a play on words, and calling it, "Sycophant" but there was no way that worked.
Breaking Bud

This is the only one of my grapes to survive my being gone two summers ago. I don't know if it's going to set any fruit this year. I suspect that any fruit it might set this year won't survive the move. None of which changes the glory which is the sudden appearance of the leaves. Last week there was nothing evident about the incipient green, which is the way of it. Had I pruned them a week ago, the cots would have wept, a steady drip of water. A month ago when I did prune, the only sign of life was the green around the flexible heart of the vines.

This was a grab shot, last spring, in SF. Jousting his way through the traffic.
