I've been tagged
Jan. 22nd, 2006 01:38 amA meme, of the sort where one is supposed to reveal something about oneself.
athenais tagged me.
As described it goes like this:
The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don't forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says "You have been tagged" (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.
I am breaking two of the rules: I've not read hers, and I don't tag people. Feel free to play along (I'll be more than willing to read them) but it seems presumptuous of me to demand one spill the beans (and no,
athenais I don't feel imposed upon, I like playing such games, and am flatterd to be picked, I suppose we can call that a wierd habit too, but, I'll not count it).
Here, then, are mine.
I preach. When I'm annoyed at something, or moved, I will vent, rant, elegize, and work it out; aloud, while showering. I don't do this unless I'm alone in the shower, but when the mood takes me it's full-blown sermons to the walls.
I look for fields of fire, pretty much everywere I go. Places to hit the deck and find cover (from incoming fire) and places I would set up to intiate/respond with outgoing fire. As part of this I check, first thing, to see whether cops are right or left handed.
I hate things on my throat. Seriously. I redirect the vents of cars to avoid the breeze running across my throat. Hands are right out, unless I trust you a lot, but I like to wear stand up collars and neckties don't bother me. Scarves are also ok. Turtlenecks, hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts with high necks are, however, right out.
I read cookooks, but rarely use them, and even when I do it's to usually to check technique, not to use an actual recipe.
I forget to eat. I'm not hungry until I've been awake for a few hours, and I often don't get around to eating. So I'll be gardening, taking pictures, editing pictures, playing Army, even cooking, and not realise I've not eaten until my hands are shaking from lack of food/low blood sugar.
