Wow, I wish I'd said it that well

There has been some recent linkage (the blessed offenders know who they are), which means there are people coming in who might not know, "the rules."

But, as the result of recent flappage in his blog, John Scalzi (who is worth reading) posted his version of the rules, here.

It's a damned succint statement of things, and sums up my thoughts (apart from the degree in Philosophy of language, and the making a living by writing, though I've been doing it, in public, for the past twenty plus years [and I learned to type on the job, and a pencil could correct all problems, someday I'll be a decent typist. The day after that I'll stop doing all my blogging as first draft, stream of thought writing, the day after that someone will give me a pony]).

Every now and again I write something really good. And I WRITE it. I don't use pencils because I don't like the sound they make. But when I really get it flowing, I whip out pen and paper and go from there, And I leave much open space between lines so I can mess around.

One of the things I hate both about the internet and the way I communicate on here is that I can type fifty or so words a minute even if I'm stupid at that time, and it "flows."

Pleased you mentioned Scalzi. I met him at WorldCon, was impressed enough to buy one of his books, chatted with him some more, and now am recommending him for an upcoming Heinlein Society project. Now I recall he mentioned he had a blog, so thanks for the link!
