I have been sick. Nasty, unhappy sick. Flat on my back since I got home sick. Alternately passed out, and unable to sleep sick. I think the crisis passed early yesterday morning. I was, at least, able to sleep las night, and had dreams for the first time since Sunday.

In the hazy time of my somnambulance, I did manage to upload some pictures of the eggs I saw in Korea. The pictures are large, and behind

The pictures so fail to do it any sort of justice. I don't, for example, have any way to show scale. It's about a foot high.

And the light isn' quite right. I need to futz with them some more.

sympathies for yr illness and wishes for a rapid recovery - I rather prefer the egg lamps to the - to my eye anyway - gaudier cathedral - when I was a child we decorated empty egg shells for Xmas ornaments - inside and out - I'm sure not quite so expertly as those pictured above - and thank you for the posting inspite of yr flat on bacck illness - now rest and imbibe much fluid young man -

Sorry to hear you've been sick, since I am also sick and generally sorry about everything, including the fact that I am thousands of miles from the woman who gave me this damn cold. Other things I am sorry about: that I have never seen an egg cathedral in person or owned a lamp with egg-shaped lights.

Pre-Easter Rome is surprisingly mellow. Well, except for the vast crowds. We missed the gigantic mass for the one year anniversary of JPII's death on Sunday. That was on purpose, though.

I must now buy egg-shaped things.
