Meeting

OK....

The idea of having someone suggest something has been less than effective.

Here is my present plan:

I will be available in the evenings, after the conference.

Sunday I will be in SF: I am meeting someone for lunch in the near vicinity of the 24th St. BART station. I am open to suggestions. I intend, after lunch, to wander about the city, amusing myself, and taking pictures. If you want to meet me, feel free to comment. I will open another post, and screen comments, should you wish to share contact information.

I would suggest you get ahold of trolleypup if you'd like to take any transitfetish/vintage streetcar type photos.

(He's away hiking today and tomorrow, but will be working Saturday-Wednesday on the F-Market line.)

A really good way to do that is to catch him for his inbound run to the carbarn. You get to see all kinds of fun stuff along the way, then the carbarn, and then sushi nom nom nom!

Right. I am in favor of evenings and of not in SF (unless it's Monday, because then I'm at work, which is in SF). I can think of reasonably good places to hang out conveniently near me (Mountain View) that serve:
* bubble tea
* coffee and stuff
* ice cream (actually I think this one's technically in Palo Alto, but it's just over the border)
* gelato
* more, different, gelato

I may be more informed about the local availability of sugar than is entirely good for me.

Ok...

Evenings, I am in Palo Alto. Friday, panel discussion, probably ends NLT 9:30 p.m..

Saturday: conference ends at 5:30ish. I have no car after that.

Sunday, I am free, but would like to get into SF (CalTrain and BART are my friends).

Monday, I have a red-eye out of SFO. How/what I do in the day/early evening is wide open.

I am staying in MV. I am in MV right this moment.
