We pull out tomorrow.

Known stops; SLO/Morro Bay (Montana de Oro)

Point Reyes

?????

We have a Coggins test, so the horses can cross state lines. We've declared a destination in Seattle.

I have hopes (because there's lots I'd like to see in Seattle, though I think, in terms of seeing people that a pub-meet might be the best bet, because it wouldn't be fair to expect someone; on wierd notice, to host a function).

A moderate group for dinner might also be doable (and I know where I want to go, so if I have a say, it's Greek food, near the Spaceneedle).

Patchy posting is likely to happen

I'm remaning at home while my fambly goes to Yokohoama for the Worldcon.

If you were coming through KC, MO i'd ensure y'all at least had a good dinner even though there is no place to do anything but let the horses out and graze down my mini-lawn (<1,000 sq. ft.)/

have fun!

When are you expecting to reach Seattle?

I've got to dash down to Monterey on Saturday morning, back here on Sunday night.

Well, if we make it to Seattle, it would be sometime like Fri-Sunday.

We plan to be home on the 23rd, so much later than Sunday in Seattle is tough.

We'll be up sooner or later, so if this trip doesn't work, we'll figure something out.

'Course you could let me know when you are heading to LA...

Watch out for I-5 from Spokane Street to about Jackson. They are repairing the road and will have sections of it closed down completely while leaving one or two lanes open. A lot of traffic will be diverted to side streets like Airport Way. http://www.etrucker.com/apps/news/article.asp?id=62232

Oh, cool. My allergy purdah has just been delayed by a day, so I can go to a pubmeet on Friday or Saturday or (by pushing it a tiny bit) on Sunday. I had expected not to see you this trip, so serendipity for me.

On the other hand, no one is thrilled by the minor heart attack that ensured you'd make it to Seattle this trip.

The heart attack certainly makes my desire to stretch the trip that far. Right now, the odds are getting longer, because leaving has been pushed back, but the return can't be (Maia needs to be able to rget redy for school/the Ecuador trip).

The real question is how hard we can press on (one of the horses doesn't do well with more than about 300 miles worth of driving (speed limits on trailers make it harder to get more than that far in the course of the time she can bear being hauled).

Cross your fingers.

If you do make it up to Seattle, I'd be interested in meeting you. I think Kate can vouch for my not-dangerously-insane-ness.
