Now, what I am curious about (and I suppose I could figure these out) are the algorythms/solution sets these, "enter your name and find out" things use to get the results.

Since they are fast, I doubt they are mining my LJ for it, in fact I know they aren't, because I can put in my given name.

So, are the associations, just interpolative on my part (which is to say, like a horoscope, am I projecting my thoughts of me onto what the random distribution gives), or is there some reason to the rhyme.

Well, using my given name implies this one has just a limited word set.
