Feeding snakes
For those who are squeamish, I don't commend going here, because I have five pictures of a juvenile hognose (Heterodon nasicus) eating the first half of his weekly supper.
McDuff (that being the snakes name) is about 9" long, 8 months old, and almost twice the size of his clutchmates.

But when I saw the name, I had to at least pay a visit. Is that a baby mouse?

I was interrupted in the midst writing this to take pictures of that snake's parents in the act of breeding some siblings.
He got the name because I had to cut him out of the egg (it was huge, about the size of three of a normal egg, and he was the size of 1 1/2 normal neo-nates.
