And away we go

Maia and I are off to the wilds of the transverse valleys.

At Thanksgiving we go camping with her family. It tends to be a horse trip, and this year we are headed to someplace in Santa Barbara. More amenities than we are used to. A building (which we won't be in. Nope, we will gain some semblance of privacy with the tent), microwave, electric power, fire ring, water (showers are rumored).

We are mostly packed, I am roasting some coffee (I am out of roasted beans, so some, green, Kenyan AA I got at Mayorga, a year ago August is turning toasty brown in the new cast iron skillet I got Tues.. I needed a small one, for doing onions on the side, as so forth).

Which means I am probably incommunicado for a the next three and a half days.

Talk amongst yourselves.

I see your words. I read. I have only one word that says it all! "Heaven" G_d bless the man who knows how to be alone with his woman in any dynamic and I give you a man who I would feel happy to know as a person. I have only respect for the way you make Quality time work for you and your signifigant other. Amen.

Y'all have a great trip! We had to cancel our usual Big Bend T-giving trip, so I'm a bit envious of you two. Would love any tips you'd care to share on home roasting coffee beans--I've been thinking of trying my hand at it.

*envy, envy, envy*

Envy for a trip that is in any way camping... Envy for time with her, gawd how I'd love some time with my her... Envy for roasting coffee. That kicks much booty. Add me, please, to the list that wants to learn more.

I hope you have a wonderful time and return home safely.
