I decided I was curious about the comments in here, so I ran the ol' comment stats program.

Excluding myself, at 267 (not surprising, that I would be the Number 1 commenter in here, and not all that surprising it's so many, perhaps the surprising thing is that it's so few) the list is below, though at least one don_fitch ought to be a bit higher, because he posted a handful as anonymous.

And I seem to be doing something wrong, because this was meant to have a cut to the full report but I don't see one. Grump. I don't really want to litter all your pages with 100 people's worth of ranking, but it seems less than fair to exclude people (and all but 12 made the list... there being but 113, including myself).

Go figure. And I found the cut. Oddities of LJ... I have to post it, then look at it as a recent entry, or I get the behind the cut list.

You could get another person on the list if you dropped "Anonymous", unles you know all your anonymous comments to come from the same person.

Interesting, I thought I commented in your journal more often than that. Maybe I just read and *think* of commenting. :)

I thought about it (and no, there are two people who I know have commented anon, more than once each) but I figured it was interesting to see who was either unwilling to have any direct ID of what they said, or was coming from outside lj.

I've only had to withhold three comments for not meeting my requirements (that I have some way of, putatively, getting in touch with you. Drive by hate mail and suchlike are not welcome)but the rest of the Anon posters are taking part.

Being a Don Fitch rather than a Don Juan, I don't bother with a List, but think I contributed only one or maybe two Comments before deciding to wrestle with the intricacies of Registering. And I still haven't put anything on the LJ Page that comes with the (free) Membership. Hey, I recognize what would be, for me, an Infinite Time-Sink when I see it, and I already have an abundant number of those, thank you very much. I might have posted more comments to your LJ, Terry, but most of the things you post are so well-done and thorough that they don't have the kind of Comment Hooks that grab me and _demand_ a response. I frequently do nods -- even multiple nods -- of appreciation, but that's the kind of thing a good fanzine editor doesn't print in the LetterColumn.
