(no subject)

Is there a way to revert to S1, because the "features" of S2 are driving me batty.

I'd settle for an S2 which had the look/feel (esp. the previous/next buttons at the BOTTOM of the page, where it would be useful to me).

Call me a luddite, but I resent the foisting of, "improvements" I don't want, which make what did work, not work.

Grmnble... kids need to get offa my lawn... gremnble.

Yay!

That was just the ticket.

If you're interested in dreamwidth, I have invite codes, and can give/send you one.

I have an account (same handle), but I am torn. I've been using it for... a year?, something like that. I tried to get comments there, but it never took so I stopped. For a number of reasons I'm not using it as reading device (mostly because my friends aren't all posting there, and I've had a terrible time keeping up with Lj (which the trip, oddly has made easier).

So thanks, but it's already done.

I use DreamWidth as a mirror-and-posting site for LJ, because it's trivially easy to auto-crosspost from there to here but not the reverse. I import comments from here to DW every few months, so that the mirroring stays fairly current.

If you look at one of my posts here, you'll see some footer text giving a link to the corresponding DW entry. You can set that on DW by going to Organize --> Manage Account --> Other Sites. If you want to force people to comment on the DW side, you can also set a switch there to disable commenting on cross-posted entries.

I crosspost. I wasn't aware (someone told me it didn't) that one could update the import to rectify comments.
