This weekend.

Details of where I'm staying have been resolved. My thanks, heartfelt and immense, to all who offered a place to crash.

So... The choices for meeting up, in a more or less planned way, seem to be Saturday evening in Palo Alto (while I will still be somewhat affected by how the conference goes; though my speaking is in the morning).

The schedule, for those who are interested in attending is:

Torture Is A Moral Issue Panel

Friday, June 26, 7:30pm
First Presbyterian Church
1140 Cowper St. (at Lincoln), Palo Alto, 94301

I'm first in the dock for that one.

11:00am

Perspectives of an Interrogator

Context introduced by Jean Maria Arrigo, PhD, social psychologist
Presentation by Terrence Karney, former Army Interrogator and Trainer
Discussion and Q&A

That one is pretty much me, and the audience, for about an hour. I don't know if there will be a break-out to continue.

Suggestions, ideas and the like for Sunday are open for discussion. Probably meeting earlier than 1100 is problematic, unless someone is going to collect me in Mountain View.

The floor is yours.

Martha Wells just posted two wonderful quotes from one of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe mysteries. The second one might be perfect for your talk:

Good luck!

I'm not going to want to go back down the peninsula Saturday after working all day, and Sunday is packed, too. Are you in town Monday? We could have coffee.

Monday is open. My plane leaves SFO late at night. I am getting into town on Thursday afternoon (1430 into SFO, as I recall).

To the email, forsooth.

Will be around on Sunday, but not Monday. Connect at panel, perhaps?

I will be at the panel.

Some more proof

Some more proof that you get good info from torture. Oh, wait, no, it's proof that you don't!

You might find this interesting:
Charlie Clements will be the featured guest on the Santa Fe, New Mexico radio program "Living on the Edge" this evening, Thursday, June 25, 2009, when he will discuss UUSC's anti-torture intitiatives including our support for an independent Commmison of Inquiry into U.S.-sponsored torture. Charlie will do the show live via telephone from Salt Lake City. The program will be aired from 6:30-7 p.m. Mountain Time, 8:30-9 p.m. Eastern Time over KSFR-FM, 101.1, and if you are interested you can listen to it via the station’s website at www.ksfr.org.
Thank you for all you do regarding this issue. I'm sure that your perspective makes a difference to many people.

Will there be a meetup outside of the panel time? I'm around all weekend in Sunnyvale or Mt. View / NASA Ames for the launch of a project, so it isn't difficult for me to zip up to Palo Alto.

Is your second talk on Saturday?
