Filters

I am not much of one for filters, but circumstances point out to me there are some people who have a reason to care about just how I feel; not on any given day, but in general: because of the Reiter's.

So I am making a filter. Those people whom I think need to know, are being opted in (I am pretty sure you all know who you are).

The rest of you may let me know if you are interested.

Tab.

You, my dear are one of those who has to opt out.

That would be me.

You too are forced to opt out.

depending on how tight you want to make the filter, i'm interested. i have rheumatoid arthritis, so am interested in other people's arthritises. or something.

(my right knee would like you to know it's raining here today.)

O Hai

Fancy meeting you here.

[identity profile] lydy.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm interested.

[identity profile] tenacious-snail.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I know who I am.

[identity profile] dagibbs.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know who I am, so, I don't think I am being opted in. But, I'm fine with reading if you're willing to share.

Of course.

[identity profile] skip-hunter.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Mainly becauise you always have insight into things, worthy of reading.

I am interested too, for the same reason. No hard feelings if you decide to keep an Internet Stranger out, however---that's completely your prerogative.

[identity profile] commodorified.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
... So, how the hell IS your foot, anyway?

[identity profile] sylphslider.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I never know who I am, ha. But I am interested, so opt me in, please.

If you are comfortable with me being on it...

[identity profile] the-ogre.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
...I'd like to be.

[identity profile] evilrooster.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Interested, but not prying. Your call. Whoever the heck I am these days.

Julia, hugs, and the knowledge you are always in my thoughts.

I don't comment very often but do read (still haven't chosen a knife set!) I am interested but totally understand if you want to keep the filter tight.

[identity profile] pecunium.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
You might want to look at the Miyabi Fusion line (it's exclusive to SlT, but there may be other version of it available).

It's sharp, pretty and (more to the point) one of the few, readily available (i.e. you can handle it in the store) lines to have a French chef profile.

I'm interested in opting in, am certainly not arrogant enough to believe I'd have to opt out. I am always interested in how others deal with their own lives, also the difficult bits, if they are of a mind to share them. So, if you don't mind, please!

Crazy(but would hope you get a chance to travel to Brussels someday...)Soph

Always willing to listen, and usually interested in hearing!

I'm interested, if you're willing to include me. I have regular arthritis, the boring kind (thank goodness!) but I'm interested in how people find ways to cope with medical issues.

[identity profile] prodigal.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd be interested, if you don't mind including me.

If you choose to write it, I choose to have a chance to see it in my list.

You are one of the interesting people.

[identity profile] don-fitch.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no particular reason to care about how you feel (or what you think), or to think I might be in the "have to opt-out category", but ... I don't recall ever reading or hearing anything from you that was not -- in some way -- interesting & worth the effort of paying attention.

[personal profile] pameladean 2010-06-08 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm interested, but I don't see any particular reason why you'd want to tell me. I won't be offended if you don't put me on the filter. But I respect you greatly, and you write well about everything else.

P.

[identity profile] harimad.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree with the several who have said that to date, everything you've written has been worth my time to read. So please opt me in, unless you would find a later request to be opted out a negative event for you. Sometimes I have to change who and what I read in response to the ops tempo of my life, and I am aware that some have a hard time not taking it personally even if they consciously know better.

I think this long explanation may translate into "your call."

[identity profile] pecunium.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Opting out of a filter is no skin off my nose. I don't plan to use it much, but it's a handy way to make things known, which might otherwise go spinning round a rumor mill of what I've shared with one person, and then gets telephoned to three-four others.

All of whom worry in varying degrees about my well being.

[identity profile] georgiamagnolia.livejournal.com 2010-06-08 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
checking in to ditto what every other stranger you don't know has said, and in addition:

I always find your writing eloquent and insightful even when it is about painful or difficult topics, perhaps especially on bitter and hard topics. You write your passion and your anger and your joy with equal amounts of soul, and I would miss reading these things. But I am indeed a stranger and as such it is not my right but simply a privilege you extend me, to share vicariously, one I am grateful for and hope to continue to have.

(No, I really do write like that sometimes, it's not just sucking up. I only do that in person, thank you very much. *grin*)

hrmn...

One might read into that.
