A "friend" of mine (the internets are wonderful things. I've never met her, but she's been both supportive, and illuminating. More than acquaintance, no matter how one slices it), is in need of some help.

She's disabled. She's getting a service dog. She's in need of money.

Good News, but Hard News has the relevant details.

The short version is, the acquisition is going to cost her about $4,000 US. It's more than she has. If you can spare anything, she could use it.
