Heard on a television show (Cold Case Files).

"Bakersfield, the county seat of the San Joaquin Valley."

Sigh.

It's an interesting case... it's details of a serial arsonist who happened to be an arson investigator.

But "Los Angeles, the county seat of Southern California" makes one wonder about the rest of it, and that sort of thing is easy to fix.

Lazy.

There was an episode of The FBI that contained a scene set in Fargo, North Dakota. In the establishing shot there were moutains in the background...

For those who don't know, Fargo is right *SPAM* in the middle of one of the flatest "valleys" in world.
