I figured you'd want to read that. I have no idea whether or not the WaPo checked the guy out and made sure he's for real, but he comes across to me as authentic.

Whatever else may be said about the Post, they've got a reputation inside the business as scrupulous credentials-checkers. Given how easy it would be for the White House to discredit Fair if he's not who he says he is, I'm inclined to think he's for real.

The issue isn't was he there, but what did he see/do, and that ends up being a he said/they said issue.

After all, he is alleging that the things the Gov't says are the work of a few bad apples is actually the fruit of a systemic problem.

It isn't who, it's what, that I won't try to vouch.
